FAQs
-
Is there a conference hotel block?
Yes, we will have a limited hotel block at the Clyde Hotel, which is just across the street from the Convention Center. Our About/Location Page isn't up yet, but hotel reservations are available now for anyone ready to book!
-
Are tickets refundable?
Tickets are refundable until July 1st, 2023. After that, tickets can only be transferred. Email us to request a refund.
-
Can I transfer my ticket?
You can transfer your ticket to someone else until August 31, 2023 at 11:59pm PST; you can use the form, or the Eventbrite UI directly.
T-shirt pre-orders for shipping will still be sent to the original purchasing address regardless of attendance or ticket transfer.
For t-shirt orders for in-person pickup, you can email us to authorize another attendee to retrieve your order; otherwise any leftovers will be up for grabs on the Community Swag Table.
-
Will there be closed captioning?
Our previous Closed Captioning provider unfortunately went out of business during the Pandemic, and we are sourcing replacements. We're committed to making it happen though, and if you have any specific recommendations for providers please do send them along! We'll update this section once we've selected a vendor.
-
What timezone will the stream be in?
The conference will be streaming from Albuquerque, NM, in US Mountain Standard Time Time between the hours of 9:30am and 5:30pm, with stretch breaks between all sessions and a roughly 90 minute lunch break.
Most of our sessions will be broadcast from the in person stage, and several of our presenters will be joining us from remote locations.
-
Can you convince my boss to send me to RustConf?
We can certainly help! Feel free to use our Letter for Your Boss template to explain why attending RustConf is a worthy investment for you and your company.
-
Is the venue accessible to people with disabilities?
Yes! Check back here soon for more specific details, and feel free to reach out if you have a specific request or accommodation need.
-
Can you provide visa invitations for non-U.S. attendees?
Yes! Submit a visa invitation request to get started.
-
Can you accommodate my need for special meals?
We'll certainly try! You'll be asked about dietary needs on your registration form. Please be specific about your needs, and preferences vs allergies, as they require different accommodations and vendors.
Special meal requests can only be honored up until two weeks before the conference, when we have to finalize orders with the caterer. Examples of types of requests we expect to be able to accommodate: Kosher food, Halal food, Vegetarian food, Vegan food, Gluten-free food and allergen-free food.
-
Can you make accommodations for nursing parents?
We can indeed! Please reach out to let us know if you'll be attending and needing a Mother's Room or bringing your baby (or both!).
We will have a private Infant Feeding Room available, with a locking door and refrigerator. We'd also love to hear about how else we can help, including helping with any child-related equipment rentals so you don't have to travel with too many things.
Nursing babies are welcome. Please be considerate of your fellow attendees and step out of session rooms when the baby is noisy (it happens :p). We're also happy to set up reserved seating for you, so should you need to step out, your seat will be waiting for you when you return.
-
How do I access the livestream?
We'll send information on how to access the LiveStream about a week before the conference.
-
Is Childcare available at RustConf?
Childcare will be available during the conference, both Wednesday and Thursday for the full time the conference is going on. The childcare room we have booked is just down the hall from the conference so you can visit as often as you'd like, pick up the kids to join you for lunch, breastfeed on demand, etc. It is also very close to the private infant feeding space, if you need to pick up your baby and find a private spot to nurse.
When registering for your ticket, be sure to check off the box indicating interest in childcare. We'll then get in touch with all the details.
If you are looking to rent any baby or kid equipment while in Albuquerque, the preferred Quip vendor for RustConf is Rachel Shields .

Are there scholarship tickets available?
Yes! There will be $10 tickets available to attend Virtual RustConf for those who might otherwise not be able to afford to join us. You do not need to reach out to apply for one of these tickets. Honor code, they'll be on the reglular registration page.
